Joint Monitoring Visit

Joint monitoring visit was conducted in Jahada Rural Municipality, Morang through IFNS project to observe the progress and impact made by the project in the lives of the marginalised communities.

The monitoring team included Adam Sensamaust, Asia Director, MCC; Stephen Deunk, Food Security and Livelihood Coordinator, MCC Canada; Christina Nisha, Country Representative, MCC Nepal; Durga Sunchiuri, Programme Director, MCC Nepal; and Dr. Surendra Kumar Shrestha, Executive Director, SAHAS Nepal.

During the visit, the team observed project activities, interacted with Community-Based Organisation (CBO) members, and listened to communities’ life changing experiences and reflections. The discussions highlighted how community led initiatives are contributing to stronger community organisations, improved livelihoods, greater resilience, and meaningful changes in the lives of marginalised families.

Following the field visit, a review and reflection meeting was held with the project team. The meeting provided an opportunity to appreciate the progress and positive changes witnessed in the communities, build the hope for future at individual, family and community, reflect on lessons learned, and share constructive feedback and recommendations for the sustainability of the project.
