Province-Level Multi-Hazard Simulation organised in Karnali Province
SAHAS Nepal participated in the Province-Level Multi-Hazard Simulation organised in Karnali Province. The event was jointly coordinated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law and the Nepal Red Cross Society, in collaboration with national and international non-governmental organisations, including SAHAS Nepal.
The simulation exercise covered four critical hazards, including Earthquake, Landslide, Fire, and Road Accident, demonstrating coordinated response mechanisms, preparedness, and inter-agency collaboration. SAHAS Nepal's community-based organization (CBO) members actively took part in the simulation, contributing their grassroots knowledge and preparedness strategies.
The program was graced by the Honorable Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Mr. Yam Lal Kandel, who served as the Chief Guest and highlighted the importance of proactive disaster risk reduction at the provincial level.
As a recognized member of the Food Security Cluster of Karnali Province, SAHAS Nepal was also represented throughout the event, reaffirming its commitment to resilience building and coordination in the region.
