SAMVAD Training for Animators

Group of Helping Hands (SAHAS) Nepal organised 10 days long "Training to Animators-Module I" training to 25 animators of Socio-Economic Empowerment through Dignity and Sustainability (SEEDS-II) project in Surichaur, Rolpa from 26 May to 6 June 2019. The major objective of the training was to enhance the capacity of animators and social mobilisers and upgrading understanding about the overall SEEDS project objectives and goals. A total of 24 SAMVAD centers will be established and run during the first year of the project and in order to make the SAMVAD centre efficient and effective training was organised. The training was inaugurated by the Chairperson of Sunilsmirti Rural Municipality with welcome note and focusing on the importance of social empowerment for the development of the society and community.

The major contents of the training were about the concept of SAMVAD and its working approach, nine steps of SAMVAD, different types of social mal practices and ways to mitigate these problems, problem tree analysis, life skills, Crack Pot, SWOT analysis, family development plan, career development plan etc. The training was facilitated by Ms. Sashi Chaudhary and Ms. Sanju Gurung.
